Smile Africa Ministries is a Christian ministry in Uganda. The organization works to meet the needs of widows, orphans and street children. The ministry was founded by Pastor Ruth Kahawa who lives in Tororo, Uganda.

Pastor Ruth began Smile Africa Ministries with a vision for helping women who have been affected by AIDS or who have become widows because of the disease. She helps women by teaching them to sew and make products to sell in their own businesses. Read a series of articles and blogs about the ministry to widows.

Another of Smile Africa Ministries' projects is to help to rehabilitate and return street children to school. Hundreds of children have been removed from the streets and are going back to school thanks to Pastor Ruth and Smile Africa Ministries.

Pastor Ruth and Smile Africa Ministries recently helped to fill a need in Tororo by helping provide food and medical care to women and children of the Karamonjong tribe that have recently settled in the city. Read about the work with the Karamonjong.
